It was the year 1935, and two sons of the soil pioneered the enamel sign industry in Punjab. Two brothers, Sutinder Singh and Taran Indar Singh set up Pioneer Enamelling Works in the small city of Amritsar. As their dreams and business grew, Taran Indar Singh moved to the bustling city of Bombay in 1955 – and Hind Enamel Works was born.
In 2002, Hind Enamel made its way across the bay to Alibag, holiday retreat for Mumbai’s rich and famous, with Sevi Singh, son of Taran Indar Singh at the helm. From this little picturesque corner, vintage and nostalgic vitreous enamel signs make theirway to countries across the world. You’ll find our work showcased across businesses in the USA, UK, Germany, Holland and Australia.
Hind Enamel also manufactures sign plates for various structural engineering companies’ transmission line projects; namely Danger Boards and other signages. Our products have been exported to various countries in the Middle East and the Far East. Closer to home, we cater to the Power Grid Corporation of India and various State Electricity Boards.
